Sorry for the delay everyone. I have hardly found time to sleep the last couple of weeks, nevertheless, I am still going to continue writing blogs on Medium. Without further ado, let’s jump right into today’s story!

As an NBA GM/Executive, if I had to choose 5 players from the 2022 NBA All-Star roster that I think would excel on any team right now, who would I choose?

I hope y’all are ready because I’m sweating from top to bottom!

1. Stephen Curry

Curry’s Akron friend and rival, LeBron James said it himself, Curry has an uncanny motor, and that motor is what will drive him no matter what team he plays for.

He also has a calm and composed, yet confident swagger to his game that keeps defenses’ hands on their hips gasping for air as he cooks one man after another, one possession after another. The most worrisome part of all for his opponents is that he is recognized by many as the greatest shooter ever and his on-court play sure backs up those claims, so good luck trying to defeat the chef in his kitchen!

Finally, he is a selfless player who does not need the ball to stay in his hands for a long time in order to be as dangerous and impactful as he is, and that reality only adds to the long list of things for opposing coaches and players to lose sleep on when preparing to play against one of the most revolutionary point guards the league has ever witnessed.

2. Kevin Durant

One of the greatest scorers to ever touch a basketball, Kevin Durant, is about as talented of a player as you will ever find in the history of basketball!

PERIOD.

Not only is he talented, but he is also efficient, can dominate a game both on and off-ball, and he can score within the natural flow of a game, which means if he is available this offseason that he will have virtually the whole league trying to acquire him with whatever assets they have at their disposal.

3. Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler has the type of mentality that would work wonders for him had he played during a decade like the 90s, for instance.

He is about as smart and competitive as they come in the league, making one winning play after another on the court. How could a team not want a true competitor like him?

Regardless of what his role is, as long as Butler feels like he has a chance to compete for a championship and he has a team and organization around him that buys into a similar competitiveness as him, then he will succeed in any role on any team.

4. Devin Booker

One of the most underappreciated players in the game, Devin Booker, deserves more consideration as one of the best scorers in the game today. His footwork is no joke and he constantly feasts in the midrange, which bodes well for him particularly in the playoffs against opposing teams’ drop coverage.

He is also a willing and improving passer and his defense has made noticeable growth over the years. Having learned some of the winning ways upon the arrivals of Coach Monty Williams and Chris Paul, Devin Booker should have the tools and ingredients he needs to continue his craftiness on other teams as well.

5. Khris Middleton

Last, but not least, is Milwaukee Bucks star, Khris Middleton, who like the three I mentioned before, thrives in the midrange.

He can also play various roles for just about any team as he can share playmaking duties, play out of pick-and-roll situations from time to time, and he is a reliable shooter and scorer who can also defend at a high level. Besides, he had to work his up the ladder, somewhat like Jimmy Butler, therefore, it is hard to believe that his game would not translate to success on other teams throughout the league.

And there you have it! Those are my five players from the 2022 NBA All-Star roster!

I know I didn’t make all my selections based on the best players in the game, but I had to consider which players would thrive in just about any system and team they are thrown into.

Be sure to let me know what y’all think of my selections, and if you have a different group of 5, then be sure to let me know in the comments below!

Take Care!
